WHAT HAPPENED DURING THE 8 MINUTES AFTER AN ANCORA PATIENT COLLAPSED?
A federal investigation into a patient’s death at Ancora Psychiatric Hospital last month found the hospital was not in compliance with federal regulations, placing patients in “immediate jeopardy” of serious injury, serious harm, serious impairment or death.

The brother of an East Newark man who hung himself in August 2018 while imprisoned at the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark has filed a lawsuit against the county and CFG Health System that also provides healthcare services at Hudson County Corrections and Rehabilitation Center where at least 10 inmates take their own lives since 2015.
