NAMI Ocean County Family Meeting
Speaker: Monica Hanna – RWJBarnabas Health Institute for Prevention and Recovery Community Educator, Tobacco & Nicotine Treatment Program, Eatontown, NJ
On average, people wanting to quit smoking take five, seven, or more times before they successfully quit for good.
The Institute for Prevention and Recovery has come to Ocean County to help mental health services consumers overcome addiction to nicotine. RWJ Barnabas nicotine and tobacco recovery service is staffed with certified professionals who provide treatment under the Public Health Service Guidelines. Scientific research shows that individuals are four times more likely to quit using tobacco when participating in a structured program as compared to attempting to quit on their own.
