“Understanding Cognitive Behavioral Techniques”
Speaker: Kenneth Kinter, LPC, NCC, Assistant Professor, State Hospital Psychiatric Rehabilitation Initiative, Dept. of Psychiatric Rehabilitation and Counseling Professions, Rutgers, the State University of NJ
This speaker provides education and training to many mental health professionals and therapists, and over the years has had significant experience treating hundreds of individuals and facilitating many clinical groups. Mr. Kinter has access to and will share a wealth of information relevant to the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of trauma, panic, phobias, obsessive thoughts, and other anxiety disorders. This presentation will be beneficial to increasing families’ understanding of their loved ones thinking, feeling and behaviors, and will also provide knowledge of how CBT techniques may be useful for loved ones with mental health challenges.
