NAMI Connection Support Group (Adults 18+)
1st & 3rd Wednesdays at 2:00 pm – Hybrid (In-person at NAMI Mercer Center and virtual)
2nd & 4th Thursdays at 7:00 pm – Online

Just Friends Social Support Group
Just Friends is a peer-led social support group for adults. It offers opportunities to engage in fun activities that reduce social isolation and enhance interpersonal skills. Just Friends events can include picnics, bowling, movies, holiday gatherings, etc. If you’re interested in joining Just Friends, the first step is to attend a “Meet and Greet” event which is held on the first Wednesday of each month at our Hamilton office, 3 – 4 pm. If you cannot make this or you have other questions, you may call Dianne, the Just Friends Coordinator, at 609-220-2802. You also need to become a NAMI Mercer member to participate in this group. Membership is $60 for a household, $40 individual, or $5 limited income.


Hearing Voices Support Group  (Adults 18+)

Hearing Voices creates a safe place for people who hear voices or have other unusual perceptions to share their experiences to learn and grow from them. The group meets the 2nd & 4th Thursdays of the month, from 1 – 2 p.m., at the NAMI Mercer Office.

All new members are asked to register online.  Call 609.799.8994 by 10:00 AM the day of the meeting to confirm attendance using your first name and phone number. (A minimum of 3 attendees are required for the group to meet.)


Empathy Network: A Depression Support Group

Empathy Network is a weekly support group for individuals living with depression and similar challenges. Group members will have the opportunity to share their experiences and gain support from other participants, as well as learn new coping skills and strategies to foster wellbeing. The group meets the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays of the month, from 2 – 3 p.m.

Registration is required to become a group participant; confirmation of attendance at each individual session will be required. Call 609.799.8994 by 10:00 AM the day of the meeting to confirm attendance using your first name and phone number. (A minimum of 3 attendees are required for the group to meet.)


Mending Mindsets: An Anxiety Support Group for Adults

Mending Mindsets is a support group for adults, 18 and up, who are struggling with anxiety. This is a safe place to share your thoughts and experiences, and to build a support network with your peers. The program meets virtually the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month, from 7 – 8 p.m.

Registration is preferred for new members, but not required.


Healing Hearts Suicide Support Group

Healing Hearts is a six week peer-led support group to help those who have lost a loved one to suicide. We will create a safe space where we can talk about trauma, grief, and guilt. No one should have to cope with suicide loss alone!

Healing Hearts will meet weekly at the NAMI Mercer Center,1235 Whitehorse Mercerville Rd, Bldg. C, Suite 303, Hamilton beginning Wednesday, June 12 through Wednesday, July 17. The meetings will start at 6:30 pm.

Registration is required. A separate form must be completed for each individual who would like to attend.


Family Support Groups  (Caregivers of adults 18+)
Offered in partnership with Intensive Family Support Services (IFSS) under Oaks Integrated Care: Support group for families of adults with mental health conditions. Individual consultations with family support specialists are available by appointment. Groups are being offered hybrid, in-person, and online. In person attendees need to confirm attendance by email to We prefer in-person participants be fully vaccinated; masks required. IFSS Mental Illness & Addiction on the 2nd Wednesday – 5:15 pm – 6:30 pm – Hybrid 

IFSS Coping with Borderline Personality Disorder on the 4th Wednesday – 5:15 pm – 6:30 pm – Hybrid 


The Parent Support Network of Central New Jersey  (Caregivers of youth under age 24)

Offered in partnership with The Youth Mental Health Project.

3rd Mondays, 7-8:30 pm – In-person at the NAMI Mercer Center.

NAMI Family to Family  

8-week education course for families and friends of adults living with mental illness.
