On World Mental Health Day, Sunday, Oct.10th, the four Sussex County Rotary Clubs of District 7475 (Newton, Branchville, Vernon, Wallkill Valley) will sponsor a Sussex County Stigma Free Awareness Walk from 1-3 pm in Station Park, Sparta, NJ. The Rotary District 7475 Stigma-Free Communities Initiative is a nine-county NJ Rotary program which aims to eradicate the stigma associated with mental illness and substance use disorders. There will be community non-profits, local health officials attending and the opportunity to receive free naloxone training.

Intensive Family Support Services (IFSS)
Fall 2021 Family Psycho-educational Workshop Series Curriculum
Every Tuesday evening on Zoom from October 5 – November 23, 2021
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
An educational series for families caring for an adult with a mental illness. Topics include: crisis intervention, biological factors, diagnoses of schizophrenia, bipolar, depression and other mental health conditions. We will address the unique themes of each family members role as a parent, spouse/significant other or child. We will also teach skills for communication, coping, and setting boundaries. There will be a presentation from the popular NAMI In Our Own Voice Program.
