New Jersey State Psychiatric Hospitals

The Department of Health (DOH) is collaborating with NAMI New Jersey to develop a Family Partnership Program, in all four of our State Psychiatric Hospitals: Ancora Psychiatric Hospital, Ann Klein Forensic Center, Greystone Park Psychiatric Hospital, Trenton Psychiatric Hospital.

NAMI NJ is a statewide non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness through education, support, advocacy and public awareness programs. NAMI NJ is collaborating with the DOH to develop and run a Family Partnership program designed in conjunction with the Family Liaisons in each hospital. The goal of the program is to address any issues related to patient and family satisfaction, and to develop a process to communicate and implement any improvement activities. Additionally, NAMI NJ will provide services to family members with a hospitalized loved one as part of the program.

For information or to be a part of our Family Partnership Advisory Panel contact Jennifer Hughes, LCSW, Associate Director of Program Quality Assurance, [email protected], 732-940-0991.

Additionally, there is a NAMI Family Support Group specifically for family members with a loved one who is or has been in a state hospital. View the Quarterly Schedule here
